Client Emblem

A client of mine had a vision to create an emblem with his initials, job title, and job elements in a unique way. His initial idea was to use this emblem as a “stamp” on his work, without the need for a physical stamp over photos. Rather than having a desire for a logo, the goal was to create an aesthetic and more detailed way to display the work that he creates.

To mimic a stamp design, I created the image with a gradient to mimic a metallic quality and an embossed finish. I also made sure to include cultural aspects that he explained were significant to him, and emphasized these with texture to mimic these historical features (see more below).

Inspiration

The Mayan Calendar was a huge inspiration and basis for this project. The client was very moved by the cultural significance for him of this system, and especially loved the symbolism of each section of it. I incorporated some of the elements from this piece, like the circles, depth, metal, and age.
